Anyone knowledgeable about handling of debtors? My department at work (in the UK) just had a letter from a?

debtor stating he has had to leave his rented property, was sleeping on someone’s sofa and until he found accommodation the only way he could be contacted was by email. His agreed monthly token payments would continue as before. What is the correct way to proceed?
I am asking on here before I ask my boss. Do creditors need asn address to contact him in future to demand updates or settlement? Is the debt written off because he’s homeless? What is the usual procedure in this scenario?

Hope he continues with monthly token payments. If this unfortunate guy is homeless you dont have much chance of recovering money from him.
